Of course! Most of our students choose to learn Dutch from home but you can mix it up however you like. Choose your favorite café for example, study in the library or learn at your office.

Planning your lessons is truly flexible; you let us know which days and times are convenient for you and we search for a Dutch teacher that matches your schedule. Some of our students choose to take 2 or 3 lessons a week, others have less availability and stick to just one class each week. Not sure what works best? We usually advise at least 2 lessons a week of 1 – 1.5 hours each in order to have both repetition and depth. Want some personal advice? Get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

This all depends on your schedule and preferences. We understand that life can be busy enough as it is. If you don’t have the time for homework, then no extra homework will be given. In case you do want to keep practicing outside your lessons from home, your teacher can help you by providing homework that is right for your level and schedule. That being said, progress is often better with homework.

Our lesson packages consist of 10, 20 and 40 hours. As you are free to determine the frequency and length of your lessons yourself, the length of your course can vary from just a few weeks to several months. Your lesson credit is valid for half a year, which means you always have plenty of time to finish your course.

Our teachers bring their own custom lesson materials to class. This does not just include our standard lesson material, but can also range from songs, to games and/or custom made exercises. Do you have your own text book that you wish to use? No problem! Just bring it to class and your tutor will include it in their lessons.

The amount of time it takes to learn Dutch is always difficult to determine. This is because quite a few factors come into play, such as the duration and frequency of your lessons. We therefore always recommend taking at least 2 lessons a week of 1-2 hours each, as repetition definitely helps with learning Dutch faster. Furthermore, the time it takes to become fluent also depends on the amount of time you spend practicing outside of the ‘classroom’, your affinity with languages and your mother tongue. From our own experience, we have seen students progress from one language level to the next in only 20-40 hours of private Dutch lessons. That’s amazing progress in just a couple of months! We’re happy to help with some advice, just tell us about your situation. 

Definitely! Our teachers have plenty of experience helping others study for their Dutch exams. By using exams from previous years together with our own custom materials, we will make sure to have you prepped and ready to ace the exam on the first try.

Yes! All of our lessons are customized to your personal learning goals. This means that if you wish to practice your conversation skills from home, we will make sure to focus on speaking only. This can mean total immersion (only speaking Dutch with your teacher), roleplay in class and/or using songs and games to practice pronunciation.

Yes! As you are free to determine the frequency and length of your lessons, we can schedule classes as often as you like. Taking multiple Dutch classes per week can be a very useful way to learn Dutch fast. You will get fully immersed in the language, all while staying in the comfort of your own home!

Yes we do! You can book your course with a friend/partner/colleague or your family members and study Dutch together. The best part: we offer a 50% discount for every extra student! Learn more about it here.

We offer the possibility to take your Dutch course together with a friend, colleague or family member. We do not provide traditional group classes in which you study with students you don’t know. Although these classes could be a great way of meeting new people, they often aren’t a fast way to fluency because lessons can’t focus on your personal needs. Private classes from home can provide great results quickly because we can tailor lesson content, speed and style to match how you learn best.

Yes. We provide Dutch company group lessons at the office or online, with a maximum of 8 students per group. Small groups still ensure interactive lessons and enough attention for everyone to learn Dutch at their own pace.

All of our courses come with custom lesson materials, travel costs & of course your own private tutor to teach Dutch at home. Our lessons are tax free, as the Dutch government agrees that learning Dutch is an essential activity for expats to integrate into life in the Netherlands.

Payment is done upfront and by bank transfer. Your private lessons from home can kick off as soon as we have received your payment. Payments for the Popular and Premium Packages can also be made in 2 or 3 terms, if that suits you best. In that case you can start after your first payment. We will of course provide you with an invoice.

Of course! Great that your employer supports your learning. All we need are your company’s invoice – & contact details, and we’ll address the invoice for your private Dutch lessons directly to them.

We offer the possibility to pause at any time, and can refund your remaining lesson credit up until your 3rd lesson. Not satisfied with your teacher? We are also happy to find you an alternative tutor, that you might just have a better connection with.
